Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw and Ohio Wesleyan fought through 80 scoreless minutes, but the Tigers scored on two of their five penalty-stroke chances, while the Battling Bishops connected just once and DePauw took a 1-0 victory. The Tigers improved to 5-4 overall and 1-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference, while the Battling Bishops dropped to 7-2 overall and 0-1 in the NCAC.
In a game played primarily in the midfield with each defense turning away scoring opportunities Ohio Wesleyan held a 10-3 shots advantage and a 5-3 penalty corner margin. Six of the Battling Bishops' shots came in the two overtime periods, but the teams advanced to the penalty stroke round.

Ella Mickey giving the Tigers a 1-0 lead after each team's second try. Ohio Wesleyan evened the score on the third shot as Alyssa Markell found the back of the cage. Neither team connected until DePauw's
Hailey Nowak beat the goalie and tapped it in with .5 seconds left on the clock.
