Box Score Delaware, Ohio - Paced by Hayley Cange and her fourth double-double of the season, 11th-ranked DePauw moved to 7-1 on the season with a 57-41 win at Ohio Wesleyan. The Battling Bishops dropped to 4-2.
Cange matched a career high with 13 points and hauled down 13 boards in the win, while Mya Shannon and Maeve Summerville each added 10 points.
The Tigers closed the first quarter with a 5-0 run and opened the second with six straight and turned a one-point deficit into a 10-point lead at 18-8. Ohio Wesleyan closed the first half on a 7-1 run to cut the DePauw lead to 24-21 at the intermission.
The hosts opened the third with a bucket to cut the Tigers' lead to one and were still down by just three with less than five minutes remaining in the quarter. The Tigers forced turnovers on three straight Ohio Wesleyan possessions and the offense scored eight straight to push the lead to 37-26 with 2:39 left in the quarter. The Battling Bishops closed to within six with a pair of 3-pointers early in the final quarter and were still within nine with just over two minutes left, but DePauw finished the contest with seven straight for the final margin.
Lauren Denison paced Ohio Wesleyan with 19 points and Cierra Joiner grabbed eight rebounds.
DePauw shot 40.8 percent from the floor to Ohio Wesleyan's 36.8 percent and the Tigers held a 33-21 edge on the boards.
The Tigers travel to Illinois College on Wednesday, March 3, for a 5:30 p.m. CST contest.
