Box Score Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw held Kenyon to just 21 points and 22 percent field goal shooting over the first three quarters and opened North Coast Athletic Conference play with an 81-45 win over visiting Kenyon. The 19th-ranked Tigers improved to 4-0, while the Ladies dropped to 0-5.
DePauw scored the first five points of the game and the final five of the opening quarter on the way to a 17-8 lead at the quarter break. The Tigers outscored Kenyon, 28-4, in the second as they scored the first seven to grab a 24-8 advantage. After the Ladies trimmed the lead to 14, DePauw closed the quarter on a 19-0 run over the final 5:35 to lead, 45-12, at the intermission.
Kenyon was no closer than 32 the rest of the way, while the Tigers' largest lead was 71-25 early in the fourth.
Mya Shannon led the Tigers with 15 points with Moira McGinley adding 11. Greta Propp led three double-figure Kenyon scorers with 13 points with Katie Orefice and Grace Connery each scoring 11.
DePauw held a 45-24 rebounding edge as Shannon and McGinley each had six. Propp led Kenyon with 10 boards, while Grace Kinsey matched a career high with seven assists for the Tigers.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, November 27, with a 1 p.m. CST game against WashU at the Midwest Challenge hosted by Illinois Wesleyan.
