DePauw Hosts Rose-Hulman in Opening Round of NCAA Football Championship

Greencastle, Ind. - Following an 8-2 season which included a North Coast Athletic Conference championship, DePauw has been selected as a host of an NCAA Division III Football Championship first-round game. The Tigers will entertain Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Saturday, November 20, with kickoff on Nick Mourouzis Field at Blackstock Stadium set for Noon EST.

DePauw captured the NCAC title and the conference's automatic qualifier with an 8-1 conference record, while Rose-Hulman earned an automatic bid by winning the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference yesterday with a 58-21 home win over Mount St. Joseph to cap a 7-0 conference schedule and extend its win streak to seven.

The Tigers are making their third NCAA appearance after losing a first-round game at Thomas More in 2009 and dropping a first-round home game to Trine in 2010. The Fightin' Engineers appeared in the 2016 postseason and dropped an opening-round game to North Central (Ill.).

Tickets, which will be available at the gate on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. are $15 for adults, $10 for students (with ID) and seniors and $5 for children under 11. Children 2 and under will be admitted free. DePauw students will also be admitted at no charge by showing their ID as DePauw will cover the cost.

The Blackstock parking lot will open at 9 a.m. and the stadium gates will open at 10:30 a.m. Clear bags are recommended for fans, but all bags are subject to search.
