Box Score Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw put together a 29-2 run that spanned the first through third quarters including 21 straight on the way to a 74-41 victory over Greenville at Neal Fieldhouse. The Tigers moved to 2-0, while the Panthers dropped to 1-4.
For the second straight day, Greenville jumped out to an early lead as it grabbed a 12-8 advantage with just over two minutes left in the first. Maeve Summerville and Mya Shannon hit buckets to knot the score at 12-12 after one quarter.
Claire Keefe's bucket early in the second gave DePauw its first lead of the contest and Hayley Cange pushed the margin to four with a jumper. Greenville's Amanda Brooks countered with 7:41 left in the half, but those would be the Panthers' only points of the quarter as they missed their final 10 shots and committed six turnovers. The Tigers took a 33-14 lead into the intermission.
Grace Kinsey hit two free throws and Imani Graham converted a layup to extend the lead to 37-14 in the opening minute of the third and the lead never dipped below 20 the rest of the way.
Keefe paced DePauw with 14 points, while Cange had a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds. Sarah Isaf rounded out the double-figure scorers with a collegiate-best 10 off the bench. Kinsey and Shannon each had four assists and Kinsey totaled three steals. Lauren Eagleson led Greenville with 13 points with Ashley Anderson grabbing five rebounds.
DePaw shot 44 percent from the floor to Greenville's 30 percent and the Tigers held a 44-25 edge on the boards. The Tigers committed just 12 turnovers to Greenville's 23 and led, 48-16, in points in the paint.
The Tigers are schedule to travel to College of Wooster for games on Feb. 6 and Feb. 7.
