Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw, ranked 38th in Division III, split its two matches including a 9-0 North Coast Athletic Conference West Division win over Ohio Wesleyan and a 5-2 loss to NAIA #9 Indiana Wesleyan. The Tigers are now 3-3 on the season, while Ohio Wesleyan is 0-2 and Indiana Wesleyan 24-0.
In the Ohio Wesleyan match, the Tigers swept the doubles competition and won the six singles matches in straight sets including 6-0, 6-0 victories at third through sixth.
Against Indiana Wesleyan, Amanda Showalter and Erin Friedrich defeated Thewuni Devaraja and Emily Connolly by an 8-4 score at the second spot and Showalter was a 6-3, 6-4 victor over Lizzie Bauss at number-one singles.
DePauw returns to action on Feb. 26 with a 5 p.m. match at Butler
