Box Score Greencastle, Ind. - Seventh-ranked DePauw extended its win streak to 10 and improved to 14-1 overall and 6-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference play with an 82-44 win over visiting Wooster. The Fighting Scots dropped to 4-10 overall and 0-5 in conference play.
The Tigers trailed briefly in the opening minutes of the game, but finished the opening stanza on a 9-1 run for a 22-13 lead at the quarter break. DePauw held Wooster to just 15.4 percent shooting from the floor in the second period and finished the half with 16 straight points over the final 3:18 for a 48-20 halftime lead. That margin reached a high of 45 late in the third at 73-28 and the Tigers sailed to victory from there.
Sydney Kopp led the Tigers with 22 points and moved into fourth place on DePauw's all-time scoring list with 1,397 as she passed Carla Weaver's (1988-92) total of 1,381. Mya Shannon followed with 15 as 12 different Tigers scored. Sarah Marion and Alwia Tilton each scored 12 for the Fighting Scots.
DePauw, ranked seventh in the nation in rebound margin, held a 53-37 edge on the boards and converted 20 offensive caroms into a 20-6 edge in second-chance points. Tilton and Maria Janasko each grabbed eight for Wooster.
The Tigers return to NCAC play on Wed., Jan. 15, with an 8 p.m. game against Denison in Neal Fieldhouse.
