Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw led by as many as nine points in the first half, but 14th-ranked Wooster outscored the Tigers 16-4 over the final six minutes of the opening half on the way to an 81-70 North Coast Athletic Conference win. DePauw dropped to 16-9 overall and finished NCAC play at 10-8, while the Fighting Scots improved to 21-4 overall and captured the NCAC title with a 16-2 conference mark.

DePauw has earned the fourth seed in the NCAC Tournament and the Tigers host Oberlin in a quarterfinal matchup at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19.

The teams were tied at 18-18 with just over nine minutes left in the half, but DePauw scored the next nine including five from Cole Jenkins to take a 27-18 advantage. The Tigers still held a 33-28 lead after Josh Hall's jumper with 3:37 left in the half, but Wooster closed the half on an 8-0 run capped by Reece Dupler's late three to grab a 36-33 halftime lead.

Wooster used a 6-0 run to extend a two-point lead to eight with 12 minutes remaining. DePauw was back to within five after Nick Felke's 3-pointer with 8:11 left, but the Fighting Scots scored on each of the next four possessions as DePauw managed just one free throw and the guests pushed the lead to 68-56. The Tigers were briefly as closed at seven at 70-63 before Dontae Williams converted a 3-point play and Dupler hit a jumper to make it 75-63 with 1:42 left.

Felke led DePauw with 17 points , while Caymn Lutz netted a career-high 14 and Cole Jenkins added 12. Hall grabbed a team-high six rebounds.

Danyon Hempy led Wooster with 29 followed by Dupler with 20 and a team-high five assists. Eric Bulic posted a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds and Williams added 12 points.

DePauw shot 38.9 percent from the field to Wooster's 55.6 percent and the Fighting Scots held a 41-26 rebounding edge. The Tigers committed just four turnovers and outscored Wooster from the line, 23-10, but the guests held a 58-28 lead in points scored in the paint.
