Women's Tennis

Women Conclude Year Fourth in NCAC Championships

Indianapolis, Ind. – The DePauw women's tennis team finished fourth after falling 5-4 to Oberlin in the third place match in the 2018 NCAC Women's Tennis Championships on Sunday.

DePauw started strong with two wins in doubles play. Both the No. 2 team of Meredith Breda and Amanda Showalter and the No. 3 team of Alyssa Seneviratne and Colleen Morris won 8-2. Megan Galle and Sarah Wilder fell 8-4 at the No. 1 spot.

In singles action, Oberlin (16-9) won four matches for the win. At No. 2, Galle won 7-5, 6-4, and at the No. 3 spot Breda won 6-2, 6-2. Morris, Showalter and Wilder each lost in two sets. Ali Bush lost in three sets at the No. 4 flight 5-7, 6-4, 6-4.

DePauw finishes the year at 8-14.
