Chicago, Ill. -- The 23rd ranked DePauw women's tennis team defeated Coe 7-2 on Saturday for their first win of the 2018 campaign.
DePauw started play with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles flights. At No. 2 Megan Galle and Sarah Wilder won 8-1, and at No. 3 Colleen Morris and Ali Bush won 8-2.
In singles action, Alyssa Seneviratne won 6-4, 7-5 in the top flight. Meredith Breda fell 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 2 spot.
Morris at No. 3 and Amanda Showalter at No. 5 swept their competition 6-0, 6-0. Bush at No. 4 won in three sets 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, and Galle won at the No. 6 flight 6-0, 6-1.
DePauw improves to 1-1 overall and will host Kenyon on Sunday.
