Tigers Tied for Seventh after First Day of NCAC Championships; Miller Earns All-NCAC Honors

Greencastle, Ind. - Led by a pair of top-four finishes in the 10,000-meter run, DePauw totaled 13 points and is tied for seventh after the first day of the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships at Blackstock Stadium. Oberlin leads with 95, while Ohio Wesleyan is second with 70.5 and Kenyon third with 25. 

Lois Miller earned all-NCAC honors with a third-place showing in 39:23.56, while Becca Conley was fourth in 39:47.56. Haley Thompson also scored in the event with an eighth-place performance in 40:55.71.

Tori Flowers collected DePauw's other point after finishing eighth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:01.49.

In prelims, Kaitlyn Daanen qualified second in the 100 meters in 12.48 seconds and seventh in the 200 meters in 26.17. Natalie Gruszka earned a spot in tomorrow's 800-meter finals after placing fifth in 2:24.13.

Competition wraps up on Saturday with field events starting at 10 a.m. and running events at 2:15 p.m. For more information please visit the host site.
