Indianapolis, Ind. -- DePauw could not capitalize on their two doubles wins and took a 4-3 loss to Division I IUPUI on Friday.
To start, the Tigers took one match point after winning No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. Maddie Lee and Gretchen Wilder defeated Samanta Mayer and Sara Sherif 6-4, and Megan Galle and Sarah Wilder won 6-3.
IUPUI proceeded to take the first four flights in singles action. For DePauw, Colleen Morris won at No. 5 singles 6-3, 6-4, and Galle won at No. 6 singles 6-2, 6-2.
At No. 1 Lee fell 6-3, 6-3; Gretchen Wilder lost 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2; Ali Bush fell at the No. 3 flight 7-5, 6-3; and Alyssa Seneviratne lost 6-1, 6-4 at the No. 4 spot.
IUPUI is 5-17, while the Tigers are 12-6. DePauw returns to action Tuesday when they host Rose-Hulman in their final home match of the season.
