Wooster No Match For Tigers

Greencastle, Ind. – The No. 25 DePauw women's tennis team took a 9-0 win over Wooster on Saturday, improving their record to 3-2 overall in the early stages of the season.

With singles matches taking place first, the Tigers recorded the win before the doubles teams could even reach the court.

Maddie Lee at No. 1 singles and Ali Bush at No. 3 singles each recorded 6-0, 6-1 wins. Gretchen Wilder won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 singles.

At No. 4 singles Colleen Morris took a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Megan Galle won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 5 singles, and Meredith Breda won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.

In doubles play, Alyssa Seneviratne and Breda won 8-5 in the No. 1 flight. The Tigers then took 8-4 wins in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots thanks to the teams of Galle and Sarah Wilder and Morris and Grace Haigh.

DePauw gets back on the court Sunday to face Oberlin.
