Springfield, Ohio - DePauw, ranked 15th in the latest coaches' poll and 16th by D3hoops.com, moved to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference play following a 61-47 win at Wittenberg. The host Tigers dropped to 3-6 overall and 1-3 in NCAC play.

DePauw trailed by two in the opening period, but scored the final nine points of the first and the first three of the second to grab an 18-8 lead. Wittenberg was within one at 22-21 before DePauw closed the half with a Maya Howard 3-pointer and an Emily Budde jumper to make it 27-21.

The margin was still six early in the third before Claire Keefe hit a basket and Howard added four free throws to push the lead to 40-28 with 4:28 left in the third.

DePauw took a 45-34 lead into the fourth before Keefe nailed a couple of free throws and a jumper to push the advantage to 15. The lead reached as many as 16 and Wittenberg got no closer than 11.

Keefe led DePauw with 19, while Howard added 18 and a team-high four assists. Kylie Morris paced the team with seven rebounds.

Kristie Kalis paced Wittenberg with 11 points and six boards with Delaney Williams dishing out four assists.

DePauw shot 42.6 percent from the field to Wittenberg's 34.7 percent and outrebounded the hosts, 30-28.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, December 9, in a 2 p.m. NCAC game at Wooster.
