Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw opened the 2016-17 season by hosting its own invitational and the Tigers came away with five singles titles and two doubles championships in the non-scored event.
DePauw's Alyssa Seneviratne defeated Walsh's Daria Bondareva 6-3, 6-2 in the number-two singles final, while Sarah Wilder was a 6-1, 6-4 victor over Meghan Farrell of Hanover at third singles.
In an all-DePauw fourth singles title match, Colleen Morris defeated Nicole Pamphilis 6-1, 6-1. Morgan Cohen captured the fifth singles title with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Walsh's Snezhana Kiseleva and Grace Haigh topped Walsh's Natalie Molnar 6-3, 6-0 at the sixth spot.
At first singles, DePauw's Maddie Lee dropped the championship match to Sofya Logunova by a 6-3, 6-2 count.
Lee and Gretchen Wilder won the first doubles flight after topping Logunova and Mercedes Fernandez 6-2, 6-3. Cohen and Pamphilis followed that up with a 3-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-6) second doubles title win over Seneviratne and Morris.
DePauw travels to Indianapolis for the Butler Invitational, September 10-11.
