Atlanta, Ga. - DePauw, ranked 15th in Division III, wrapped up play in the Fab 5 Tournament with a 9-0 loss to top-ranked Williams. The Tigers dropped to 6-7 with all seven losses coming to teams ranked 14th or higher in the latest national poll. The Ephs improved to 8-1.
Williams swept doubles play as the top duo of Julia Cancio and Hannah Atkinson defeated Maddie Lee and Gretchen Wilder 8-4. Mia Gancayco and Maya Hart topped Alyssa Senevirante and Ali Bush at number two, 9-7, while the third doubles team of Alex Stone and Carmen Saab were 8-5 winners over Colleen Morris and Megan Galle.
The Ephs won all six singles in straight sets as Juli Raventos beat Lee at the first spot by a 6-1, 6-3 score with Linda Shin taking a 6-1, 6-0 win over Senevirante at the second spot.
Leah Bush topped Wilder at third singles by a 6-0, 6-0 count, while Giulia McDonnell was a 6-0, 6-0 victor at fourth singles also by a 6-0, 6-0 score.
At fifth singles, Stone topped Ali Bush 6-1, 6-2 and Korina Neveux defeated Galle at sixth singles 6-0, 6-3.
DePauw competes in the Midwest Invitational April 1-2 at Madison, Wis.
