Big Rally Lifts DePauw to Win over Carleton

Hilton Head Island, S.C. - Trailing 4-1, 15th-ranked DePauw won the final four singles matches and took a 5-4 win over Carleton in the final match on Hilton Head Island. The Tigers improved to 6-4, while the Knights slipped to 8-3.

DePauw found itself trailing 2-1 after doubles with the third team of Colleen Morris and Megan Galle picking up an 8-6 win over Grace Davis and Kristina Conrad.

The deficit reached 4-1 after Carleton took wins at second and third singles. Morris started the comeback with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Caitlin Shea at fourth singles before Maddie Lee came back to defeat Danielle Vasiliev at first singles 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7).

Galle tied the match at 4-4 with a 6-0, 6-4 triumph over Davis at sixth singles before Ali Bush wrapped up the win with a comeback of her own, defeating Alana Danieu 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-4) at fifth singles.

DePauw travels to Atlanta where they will compete for three days in the Fab 5 Tournament starting with tomorrow's Noon match at fourth-ranked Emory.
