Mason, Ohio- Seniors Maggie MacPhail and Claire Marshall bowed out of the 2015 NCAA Division III Individual Tennis Championships, dropping their first-round singles and doubles matches.
Marshall dropped a 6-3, 6-3, decision to Texas Lutheran's Sofia Vega in singles play. The duo of Marshall and MacPhail fell in their doubles match 6-2, 6-4, to Eudice Chong and Helen Klass-Warch from Wesleyan (Conn.).
The doubles duo closes the year with a 19-13 overall record, going 15-9 in the top flight. Marshall ends her season with an 18-15 record and a 13-11 mark at No. 1 singles.
Both MacPhail and Marshall played integral roles in leading the Tigers to their fourth-straight North Coast Athletic Conference Championship and DePauw's first trip to the NCAA Quarterfinals in nine years.
