Gambier, Ohio - DePauw advanced to the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship title match for the fourth straight year after a 6-0 semifinal win over Kenyon. The 14th-ranked Tigers improved to 13-8, while Kenyon dropped to 9-10.
The Tigers will face Denison in tomorrow's 10 a.m. championship match after the Big Red topped Oberlin, 5-2, in the other semifinal match.
The Tigers swept doubles play as Maggie MacPhail and Claire Marshall topped Diana Aboubakare and Samantha Murphy at the number-one spot by an 8-2 score. The second doubles team of Kaitlin Pickrel and Julie Wittwer were 8-1 winners over Alyssa Moreau and Jenna Murray and the third doubles tandem of Carolyn Huerth and Taylor Mahr defeated Grace Winslow and Abigail Younger, 8-5.
MacPhail was a 6-1, 6-2 winner over Murray at second singles before Wittwer clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Murphy at the third spot. At first singles, Marshall defeated Aboubakare 5-7, 7-6, 1-0 (10-3).
