Granville, Ohio - DePauw wrapped up its fourth straight undefeated season of play in the North Coast Athletic Conference's West Division after defeating Denison, 6-3. The 14th-ranked Tigers improved to 11-8 overall and finished divisional play at 3-0, while the 25th-ranked Big Red dropped to 12-6 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
DePauw got out to a solid start as it swept the doubles play. Claire Marshall and Maggie MacPhail were 8-3 winners over Taylor Hawkins and Meg Chiumento at the first spot, while Julie Wittwer and Kaitlin Pickrel topped Rochell Issa and Courtney Brown by an 8-1 score at number two. At third doubles, Maddie Lee and Gretchen Wilder were 8-3 winners over Sarah Torrence and Heather Abzug.
The Tigers wrapped up the match by splitting the six singles flights. At number two singles, DePauw's MacPhail was a 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 winner over Brown, while Carolyn Huerth took a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Emily Holloway at fifth singles. Lee defeated Torrence at sixth singles 6-2, 6-1.
DePauw's next competition is April 24-26 when the Tigers go after a fourth straight NCAC title at Kenyon College.
