Greencastle, Ind. - The 1-0 DePauw Tigers return to the gridiron tomorrow night when they open North Coast Athletic Conference play at #18 Wittenberg. Kickoff from Edwards-Maurer Field is set for 6 p.m.
DePauw won its season opener on September 6 by defeating Sewanee, 31-13. The Tigers scored on five straight possessions to earn the win.
Wittenberg dropped its opening game on the same date by a 22-16 count against NCAA Division I FCS Butler. Wittenberg rallied from a 22-3 deficit early in the fourth quarter, but a late interception preserved the Butler victory.
The teams are meeting for just the ninth time and third as NCAC competitors. Wittenberg leads the series, 6-2, after last year's 45-0 win in Greencastle. DePauw dropped a 52-14 decision in Greencastle in 2012 which also marked DePauw's first NCAC contest.
