11th-Ranked Tigers Win Doubles; but Third-Ranked Emory Prevails with Singles Sweep

Atlanta, Ga. - The 11th-ranked Tigers won two of the three doubles matches, but third-ranked Emory swept singles play and topped DePauw, 7-2. DePauw dropped to 11-3, while Emory improved to 14-2.

Meg Crowley and Claire Marshall posted a 9-8 (7-5) win over Beatrice Rosen and Madison Gordon at number-two doubles, while the third doubles tandem of Julie Wittwer and Kaitlin Pickrel defeated Emory's Michelle Satterfield and Brenna Kelly by an 8-5 count.

Emory won five of the six singles matches in straight sets with DePauw's Maggie MacPhail forcing a third set by winning the second-set tiebreaker.

The Tigers return to action when they compete in the Midwest Invitational, April 4-5.
