Hilton Head Island, S.C. - DePauw moved to 11-2 on the season and capped a perfect week on Hilton Head Island with an 8-1 win over 28th-ranked Carleton. The Knights dropped to 10-2 with the loss.
The Tigers swept doubles play as Caroline Emhardt and Maggie MacPhail moved to 22-3 on the season with an 8-0 win over Anne Lombardi and Joyce Yu at the number-one spot. Meg Crowley and Claire Marshall defeated Mikayla Becich and Grace Davis, 8-4 at second doubles while Julie Wittwer and Kaitlin Pickrel were 8-1 victors over Katherine Greenberg and Molly Hemes at third doubles.
DePauw wrapped up the match with wins at first through third and fifth and sixth singles. Among the highlights were Marshall moving to 17-2 with a 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-5) win over Lombardi at first singles.
The Tigers face third-ranked Emory tomorrow in a 4:30 p.m. match in Atlanta.
