Cincinnati, Ohio - DePauw's streak of 27 consecutive dual meet victories came to an end this evening as the Tigers dropped a 162-99 decision at Division I Xavier. With the loss, the 11th-ranked Tigers slipped to 3-1 on the season.
The Tigers picked up four first-place finishes led by Casey Hooker in the 200-yard butterfly (1:56.76) and 500 freestyle (4:43.68). Alex Grissom won the 200 free in 1:44.75 and Andrew Petersen touched first in the 200 breaststroke in 2:12.16.
Turning in second-place finishes were Petersen in the 100 back (1:00.72), Jack Burgeson in the 50 free (21.66) and Blake Lehmann in the 100 fly (52.55).
The Tigers' 200 medley relay of Lehmann, Petersen, Hooker and Burgeson was second in 1:36.09 as was the 400 free relay of Hooker, Grissom, Burgeson and Lehmann in 3:09.80.
DePauw hosts Rose-Hulman and Illinois Wesleyan tomorrow at 1 p.m.
