Gambier, Ohio - The 12th-ranked DePauw men opened competition tonight at the Total Performance Invitational hosted by Kenyon College.

The Tigers' 800-yard freestyle relay of Casey Hooker, Alex Grissom, Alex Alfonso and Matt Haeske finished fourth in 6:42.43 which was 10 seconds under the NCAA Division III "B" cut time. 

DePauw's B relay of Stephen McMurtry, Matthew Gullickson, George Morrison and James McDonnell was 13th in 6:57.70.

In the 1,650 free, Thomas Hiller was 26th in 16:58.05 and Mike Curts 27th in 17:31.64.

With two days remaining, DePauw is in fifth place with 59 points, trailing Kenyon, Penn, Johns Hopkins and Davidson.
