Indianapolis, Ind. - On the second day of competition at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, DePauw's 400-yard medley relay earned all-America honorable mention as did Casey Hooker in the 200 freestyle.
The 400 medley relay (pictured left) of Hooker, Matt Kukurugya, Matt Gleason and John Montgomery finished 12th in 3:23.90 after placing 13th in the prelims in 3:24.26.
Hooker (below right) finished 15th in the 200 free in 1:40.42 after tying for the 15th spot in the prelims in 1:40.22.
In other prelim swims, the Tigers' 200 free relay of Alex Alfonso, Jack Burgeson, Joe Hessburg and Montgomery was 18th in 1:24.48, while Gleason was 28th in the 100 butterfly in 50.40 seconds.
At the halfway point of the Championships, DePauw has totaled 14 points and is tied for 25th place.
The Tigers return to the pool on Friday morning with prelims starting at 10 a.m. DePauw's competition schedule is listed below.
