September 3, 2011, St. Louis, Mo. — DePauw is 2-1 after splitting its two matches at the Washington University Bears Classic.

DePauw opened with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-21) win over UT-Dallas before dropping a 3-0 (16-25, 12-25, 11-25) decision to third-ranked Washington University. 

In the UT-Dallas match, Abby Balbach led the way with 10 kills, while Brianna Holder totaled 26 assists. Kylee Lehrman led the way with nine digs and Hannah Nelson had four blocks.

Balbach and Nelson had four kills apiece against Washington with Holder totaling nine assists. Balbach led with 11 digs with Paige Thompson and Annie Collier each totaling two blocks.

The Tigers face Carroll (Wis.) at 10 a.m. on Sunday and Rose-Hulman at 12:15 p.m.
