September 1, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — Coming off a 9-2 season and a second straight NCAA postseason appearance, the DePauw football team opens its 124th season on Saturday evening when it travels to Rose-Hulman. Kickoff at Cook Stadium in Terre Haute is set for 6 p.m.
The Tigers return 26 lettermen including seven starters from last year's squad. D3football.com second team all-America left guard Lewis Brown anchors the offensive line and the senior is one of four returning all-conference players on the 2011 squad. Running back Jon Ellis, defensive end Michael Fultz and cornerback Steve Valdiserri also earned all-conference honors last year.
