November 27, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — Wabash shot 75 percent from the field in the second half and turned a halftime tie into a 62-47 victory over DePauw in the Mike Rokicki Community Versus Cancer Challenge championship game. The Tigers dropped to 3-1 with the loss, while the Little Giants improved to 4-0.

DePauw jumped out to an 8-2 lead, but the Little Giants came back and led by as many as three before the teams went to the intermission tied, 24-24.

Tournament MVP Erek Bailey scored Wabash's first seven points of the second half on a layup, a three and a jumper to give the Little Giants a 31-25 lead. The Wabash lead stayed in single digits until the Little Giants went on a 5-0 run to extend the margin to 43-32 with 11:36 remaining.

DePauw's Barry Flynn, who earned a spot on the all-tournament team, scored on a layup off of Michael Wilkison's assist to trim the Wabash lead to 49-41 with just under six minutes left. Wabash, however, rattled off eight straight to push the lead to 57-41 with 3:03 left as the Tigers committed a pair of turnovers and missed a shot.

Flynn paced DePauw with 13 points, while Sean Haseley added 11. Flynn and Camron Burns each hauled down three rebounds with Wilkison, Pat Haggin and Tommy Weakley each dishing out two assists.

Bailey led all scorers with 19 points and all-tournament team selection Aaron Zinnerman added 13 and a game-high five assists. Brian Shelbourne and Nick Curosh grabbed seven rebounds each as the Little Giants held a 27-20 advantage on the boards and a 32-14 lead in points in the paint.

Wabash shot 52.1 percent from the floor to DePauw's 42.9 percent and the Little Giants hit 6-of-12 from three-point range to the Tigers' 7-of-19.

Elmhurst defeated Purdue North Central, 66-56, in the third place game as Nick Sanford earned a spot on the all-tournament team with 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Bluejays. Jerome Robinson added 14 points in the win. Nick Neal paced Purdue North Central with 16 points followed by Allan Barnes with 12 and Vincent Parker with 11. Neal also was selected to the all-tourney team.

Elmhurst led most of the first half, but the Panthers did grab a 19-18 advantage with 9:07 left. The Bluejays closed the half on a 12-4 run to take a 30-23 lead at the break. The Panthers pulled to within five at 58-53 with 4:10 remaining after Barnes hit two free throws, but Elmhurst scored six straight to push the margin back to double digits.
