October 29, 2011, St. Louis, Mo. — DePauw opened the 2011-12 season with a 173-120 win at Washington University.

The Tigers' 200-yard medley relay of George Morrison, Matt Kukurugya, Matt Gleason and Alex Alfonso opened the meet with a win in 1:36.87.

Casey Hooker then won the 1,000 freestyle in 9:39.39 and later finished first in the 500 free in 4:42.97. John Montgomery captured the 200 free in 1:44.86 with Kukurugya winning the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.58 and Jordan Bantista taking the 200 breast in 1:59.34.

Alfonso was a double-winner in the 50 free in 21.91 seconds and the 100 free in 47.50 seconds as was Gleason in the 100 butterfly in 52.47 seconds and in the 200 individual medley in 2:00.80. 

DePauw's 400 free relay of Hooker, Alfonso, Montgomery and Matt Haeske closed the meet by winning in 3:11.46.

The Tigers travel to Wittenberg on Saturday, November 5, for a 1 p.m. meet.
