Tigers Score 21 Fourth-Quarter Points in Win at Millsaps; Program's Best Start in 25 Years

October 2, 2010, Jackson, Miss. — DePauw scored three times in the fourth quarter including the final 14 points in a 35-21 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win at Millsaps.

The Tigers improved to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the SCAC for the program's best start since 1985. The Majors dropped to 2-3 overall and 2-1 in the SCAC.

Millsaps took the early lead as Garrett Pinciotti teamed with Jason O'Rear for a 9-yard pass on the Majors' second drive, but DePauw took the lead in the second on touchdown runs of 4 yards by Jon Ellis and 1 yard by Derrick Karazsia.

The Majors knotted the score at 14-14 on O'Rears 7-yard scoring pass from Pinciotti. DePauw regained the lead on the first play of the fourth as Michael Engle connected with Alex Koors for a 4-yard scoring pass.

On Millsaps' first play after the ensuing kickoff, Michael Galatas scored on a 68-yard pass play from Pinciotti. The Tigers wrapped up the game as Karazsia scored on two more 1-yard runs in the fourth.

Karazsia rushed for 94 yards on 28 carries including three touchdown runs. Engle completed 22 of 38 passes for 170 yards with one TD and two interceptions. Brayden Dahlstrom led DePauw with seven catches, while Koors and Nathan Evans each caught six passes in the win.

Pinciotti completed 14 of 25 passes for 271 yards and three TDs. T. Theriot was the top receiver with four catches for 83 yards.

Myron Burr and Jonathan Lambert led DePauw with five tackles, while Will Hawkins totaled 21 for Millsaps.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, October 9, when it hosts Rhodes in a 1 p.m. contest on Old Gold Day.
