Tigers in 11th Place after Second Day at NCAA Championships

March 21, 2008, Oxford, Ohio - DePauw's 200-yard medley relay of Steve Klabak, Josh Baugh, Rob Alexander and John Cook placed ninth in tonight's finals at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. The Tigers earned honorable mention all-America honors with a time of 1:33.27.

Alexander earned all-America honors in the 100 butterfly after finishing eighth in 49.54 seconds. Cook garnered honorable mention all-America accolades after finishing 15th in the 200 freestyle in 1:42.27. He entered the meet with the 36th fastest time in the nation.

The Tigers' 800 free relay of Alexander, Greg Nowak, Klabak and Cook also earned honorable mention all-America honors with an 11th-place finish in a school-record 6:52.56.

DePauw is in 11th place overall with 80 points. Competition wraps up on Saturday.
