Tenth-ranked Tigers roll to SCAC win at Millsaps

January 28, 2007, Jackson, Miss. - For the fourth straight game 10th-ranked DePauw never trailed and came away with an 88-57 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win at Millsaps.

The win was the Tigers' sixth straight as they improved to 18-2 overall and 8-1 in the SCAC. Millsaps dropped to 3-15 overall and 1-8 in the conference.

DePauw scored 11 straight in the first half to extend a nine-point lead to 20 on the way to a 43-22 halftime lead.

Liz Bondi led the Tigers with 17, while Caitlin McGonigal scored 14 and Emily Marshall added a career-best 13. Gretchen Haehl and Bridget Bailey each scored 11 in the win. Bailey matched a career high with 11 rebounds as DePauw held a 45-27 edge on the boards.

LaReina Adams led the Majors with 14 followed by Deborah Sturgis with 13, Leslie Frese with 12 and Crystal Dickerson with 10.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, February 3, in a 1 p.m. contest at Centre.
