Tigers move up one spot to sixth in national rankings

April 20, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - In the latest national rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, the 20-1 Tigers have moved up one spot to sixth in Division III. The complete rankings are available here.

The Tigers have posted a 6-1 record against teams ranked in the top 25 with the lone loss coming by a 5-4 score at fifth-ranked Emory. DePauw is ranked first in the Central Region with Liz Bondi ranked first in the region in singles, Amrita Padda 11th and Betsey Flanzer 18th. The doubles team of Bondi and Padda is ranked first in the region in doubles, while Erin Andrade and Connie Shim are third.

The Tigers return to action on Friday, April 28, when they open play at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Sewanee. Four SCAC teams are nationally ranked with Trinity at number two, Sewanee third and Rhodes 22nd.
