Fifth-ranked Tigers score game's first 25 points on way to seventh straight win

December 20, 2006, Webster Groves, Mo. - The fifth-ranked Tigers scored the game's first 25 points in the opening 6:39 and were never threatened in a 94-51 win at Webster. The Tigers improved to 8-1 with their seventh straight win, while the Gorloks dropped to 1-6.

DePauw hit 21 of 29 from the floor in the first half on the way to a 62-20 halftime advantage and finished at 61.1 percent for the game. Webster shot just 32 percent in the first half and 42 percent for the game.

Cassie Pruzin netted a career-high 19 including five three-pointers as the Tigers nailed a school-record 12. Caitlin McGonigal finished with 15, while Liz Bondi and Emily Marshall each scored 10.

Danielle Tiller led Webster with 18, while Matine Wiley added 11.

Pruzin also recorded career bests of 10 assists and seven steals, while Suzy Doughty finished with eight assists. Doughty also recorded two steals and broke the DePauw career record of 221 set by Marlene McQueary from 1985-89.

DePauw returns to action on December 28 when it faces Kenyon in the San Diego Surf N' Slam. All three of DePauw's games in that tournament can be heard onb WGRE.
