January 7, 2006, Terre Haute, Ind. - DePauw used a 24-4 run early in the second half to pull away from host Rose-Hulman on the way to an 87-64 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory. The Tigers improved to 13-1 overall and 3-0 in the SCAC with their 12th straight victory, while the Engineers dropped to 7-6 overall and 0-3 in the SCAC.
The Tigers, ranked ninth in the latest Division III Coaches' poll and 10th by D3hoops.com, led by as many as 18 in the first half before the Engineers closed the gap to 36-28 at the break. Rose-Hulman scored the first six points of the second half to make it 36-34 before DePauw put together its run.
Five Tigers scored in double figures led by Liz Bondi and Bridget Bailey with 15 each. Gretchen Haehl followed with 12, while Suzy Doughty added 11 and Lindsay Houin totaled 10.
Rebekah Forsyth paced the Engineers with a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Jill Floyd added 15 points.
The Tigers shot 52.5 percent from the floor and held Rose-Hulman, Division III's top-shooting team, to just 38.6 percent. The Tigers also held a 36-29 advantage on the boards with Houin hauling down seven for the Tigers. Suzy Doughty equaled a career high with eight assists with Cassie Pruzin recording a career-best five steals.
