February 18, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - Sarah Zondor's basket with 11 seconds left gave 17th-ranked DePauw a three-point lead and the Tigers survived two Trinity three-point attempts in the closing seconds to take a 68-65 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory. DePauw improved to 20-4 overall and 11-2 in the SCAC, while fourth-ranked Trinity dropped to 20-3 overall and 11-2 in the conference.

After Zondor extended the lead, Trinity's Lauren Andrews missed a three-pointer with just over one second to play. The ball bounded off a DePauw player and out-of-bounds, giving Trinity one more chance at a possible tie. Amy Howe's three-pointer at the buzzer was off the rim and the hosts held on for a win that put them in a tie with Trinity in the regular season standings.

DePauw led by as many as eight in the first half before Trinity closed the margin to 29-25 at the break. Trinity scored the first eight points of the second half to take a 33-29 advantage and it extended the margin to as many as eight after Martha King's jumper with 12:48 left made it 48-40.

The lead was still seven at 52-45 before DePauw started a 17-4 run that concluded with Liz Bondi's bucket with 4:36 remaining to make it 62-56.

With DePauw leading 66-62 after Bondi's layup with 1:32 left, Trinity's Tara Rohde closed it to two but missed a free throw to complete the three-point play. DePauw missed a shot on its next possession and then fouled Andrews with 39 seconds remaining. Andrews hit one of two free throws to make it 66-65, but Zondor knocked down the jumper with the shot clock winding down for the final of 68-65.

Zondor finished with 15, while Amy Argetsinger added 10 points and six rebounds. Argetsinger moved into second place on DePauw's all-time scoring list with 1,374 points and needs just eight more to surpass Carla Weaver's (1988-92) total of 1,381. She also moved into fifth place in SCAC scoring history.

Howe paced Trinity with 15 points with Jenna Smith adding 12. King and Rohde each scored 11 and Andrews followed with 10 points and seven assists.

Rohde grabbed a game-high seven rebounds, while Lindsay Houin joined Argetsinger as DePauw's leaders with six boards. Suzy Doughty dished out a team-high five assists and three steals for DePauw with Gretchen Haehl adding four assists.

DePauw concludes SCAC regular season play on Sunday when it hosts Southwestern at 2 p.m. That game can be heard live on WGRE. Trinity travels to Rose-Hulman on Saturday for a 6 p.m. contest.
