San Antonio, Texas - DePauw, ranked 18th in the coaches' poll and 24th by D3hoops.com, battled back from a six-point deficit with just over three minutes left in regulation and moved into a first-place tie in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference standings with an 84-81 overtime win at Trinity.

The hosts, ranked second by the coaches and third by D3hoops.com, suffered their first home loss in the last 11 games. DePauw was the last team to defeat Trinity in San Antonio when they won by two on February 21, 2003. DePauw improved to 18-3 overall and 9-1 in the SCAC, while Trinity dropped to 18-2 overall and 9-1 in the conference.

Trailing 70-64, DePauw stormed back with buckets from Jordan Cuddy and Suzy Doughty to close the gap to two. Allison Wooley pushed Trinity's lead back to four at 72-68 with two free throws with 1:26 remaining in regulation.

Tria Yoder's three-pointer with 1:06 left closed the gap to 72-71. Tara Rohde made it 74-71 with a bucket with 57 seconds left. Wooley then blocked a Doughty shot with 43 seconds remaining and Trinity rebounded. Jenna Smith went to the free throw line with 31 seconds left, but missed the front end of a one-and-one and DePauw rebounded.

Yoder then tied the game at 74-74 with a three-pointer with 22 seconds left. Smith's game-winning attempt near the end of regulation was off the mark and Lindsay Houin grabbed the rebound to force the extra session.

Amy Argetsinger opened the overtime with a basket before Genevieve Schmitt nailed a three-pointer to put the hosts ahead by one. Cuddy put DePauw ahead with a three-pointer with 3:20 remaining before Amy Howe hit two free throws to tie the contest at 79-79 with 2:05 left.

Argetsinger put DePauw back in the lead with two charity tosses with 1:20 remaining and Smith knotted the contest at 81-81 on Smith's bucket. Houin's put-back of a Doughty miss gave DePauw an 83-81 lead with just 14 seconds left. Following a Trinity turnover, Argetsinger hit the second of two free throws to push the DePauw lead to 84=81 with just seven seconds remaining. Schmitt's three-pointer with one second left and DePauw came away with the win.

Doughty paced DePauw with a career-high 19, while Argetsinger scored 17. Yoder finished with 14 and Sarah Zondor added 10 in the win. Rohde scored 20 in the loss with Wooley adding 19. Clarie Allen following with 13 and Schmitt added 11. DePauw held a 36-34 edge on the boards with Houin totaling eight. Wooley had nine for the hosts.

DePauw shot 53.3 percent for the game and connected on eight-of-15 three pointers. The Tigers return to action on Friday, February 8, when they host Hendrix at 6 p.m.
