15th-ranked Tigers improve to 2-1 with win at Thomas More

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - The 15th-ranked DePauw women's basketball outscored host Thomas More 10-1 in the last four minutes to turn a 55-55 tie into a 65-56 victory at the Connor Convocation Center. DePauw improved to 2-1, while Thomas More dropped to 1-2 in a rematch of last year's NCAA second round contest.

 

Amy Argetsinger led the Tigers with 22 points including15 in the second half, while Sarah Zondor added 17 and Caitlin McGonigal equaled a career high with 10 points.

 

Brooke Warner paced the Saints with 16 points, followed by Megan Wood with 13 and Christian Stefanopoulos with 10.

 

The Tigers shot 39 percent from the floor for the game, while holding the Saints to 34 percent. DePauw outrebounded Thomas More 45-37 with Bridget Bailey grabbing a career-high eight. Warner led Thomas More with eight.

 

DePauw returns to action on Monday, November 29, when they travel to North Central College in Naperville, Ill.
