Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw freshman Jordan Cuddy recorded a career-high 18 points including 13 in the first half to lead 23rd-ranked DePauw to an 86-52 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory over visiting Centre. The Tigers improved to 12-3 overall and 3-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, while Centre dropped to 3-12 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
Centre led just once in the game after Liz Braun's layup made it 12-10 with 13:37 left in the first half. The Tigers then put together a 26-5 run over the next nine minutes. Cuddy helped fuel the rally with all 13 of her first-half points, including a trio of three-pointers, coming during the stretch. The Tigers went to the break with a 46-23 lead after shooting just under 52 percent from the floor.
The Tigers shot 50 percent in the second half and hit six-of-nine from three-point range to extend the margin to as many as 37 points on three occasions.
Amy Argetsinger added 14 and Tria Yoder scored 12 along with a career-high six assists. Suzy Doughty matched a career high with 10 points and dished out a career-best five assists. Chelsea Wessel scored 16 for Centre with Shelly Johnson and Braun each adding 10.
The Tigers shot just under 51 percent for the game and hit 11-of-20 three-pointers. The 11 treys equaled a school record. Centre connected on just under 44 percent from the floor, but committed 28 turnovers to DePauw's 13. DePauw held a 31-27 advantage on the boards as Lindsay Houin grabbed five. Wessel hauled down a game-high seven for the Colonels.
