Georgetown, Texas - The 17th-ranked Tigers shot a season-low 37.5 percent from the field and lost their Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season finale by a 67-62 count at Southwestern.

The loss snapped the Tigers' nine-game win streak and dropped their overall record to 20-4. DePauw finished SCAC play with a 12-2 mark and the number-two seed in this week's conference tournament. Southwestern improved to 16-9 overall and 8-6 in the SCAC.

DePauw opens the SCAC tournament at Rhodes College on Thursday, February 27, against seventh-seed Oglethorpe. Southwestern earned the fifth-seed and will face Centre on Thursday at 9 p.m.

The Tigers fell behind to the Pirates early and trailed by as many as seven at 17-10 midway through the first half. A 14-2 run later in the half propelled the guests from a five-point deficit to a seven-point lead at 28-21. DePauw went into the intermission with a 28-23 lead.

The Pirates scored the first eight points of the second half to take a 31-28 advantage and extended the lead to as many as 10 at 47-37 midway through the second half. Southwestern still held a 60-52 lead after Erin Nelson connected on a free throw with 1:05 left.

Dana Ferguson's layup with 55 seconds left and Amy Argetsinger's jumper with 44 seconds remaining after a Southwestern turnover closed the margin to 60-54. Angela Stroud buried two free throws with 44 seconds remaining and Argetsinger countered with a pair at the 36-second mark.

Erika Dunkman hit two charity tosses 34 seconds left before Ferguson made one of two to make it 64-59 with 27 seconds remaining. Sarah Christofferson missed two free throws with 26 seconds left, but the Tigers couldn't capitalize on the offensive end. Kari Crandall then hit one of two with just under 10 seconds left to push the Southwestern lead to 65-59.

Argetsinger knocked down a three with 1.8 seconds left before Dunkman sealed the Pirates' win with two free throws with six-tenths of a second remaining.

Argetsinger led the Tigers with a career-high 23, while Dana Ferguson added 17. Misty
