Jackson, Miss.  - The Tigers used a full-court press to pull away in the final eight minutes of the game on the way to a 78-54 victory at Millsaps. The win was the 16th straight for the Tigers as they improved to 17-2 overall and 12-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. Millsaps dropped to 4-15 overall and 2-10 in the SCAC.

A first half that included five ties and 10 lead changes ended in DePauw scoring the final seven points on a basket by Sarah MacKay, a three-point play from Colleen Powers and another MacKay basket. That gave the Tigers a 35-27 halftime lead.

The Majors scored the first 10 points of the second half to take a 37-35 lead with 17:26 left. DePauw then scored nine straight to regain the lead at 44-37. The Tigers still led 50-48 after Jilliam Compton's three-pointer with 8:57 left.

DePauw then put the clamps on defensively as it scored the next six points and 15 of the game's next 16 to take a 65-49 lead with 4:24 left. During that time, the DePauw press forced Millsaps into five turnovers. The Majors hit two free throws before the Tigers rattled off nine straight to push the lead to 23.

MacKay and Kim Weigle each scored 20 for the Tigers, whil Tria Yoder and Colleen Powers each added 11. Jessica Dunlap scored 24 for the Majors and Compton added 10. The Tigers outrebounded Millsaps 37-29 and Jill Schneider paced DePauw with seven.
