Amy Argetsinger scored 10 in the Tigers' 83-60 win over Millsaps.

Greencastle, Ind. - The Tigers returned home for the first time in a month and kept their winning ways as they picked up their ninth straight win with an 83-60 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory over visiting Millsaps. The win lifted DePauw's record to 10-2 overall and 5-0 in the SCAC, while Millsaps fell to 3-8 overall and 1-3 in the conference.

The teams started on a torrid offensive pace as the Majors connected on their first seven shots from the floor and the Tigers made eight of their first nine.

Millsaps led briefly in the half before the Tigers started to gradually pull away. Sarah MacKay's three-pointer with 2:40 left in the first half capped a 5-0 run that lifted the Tigers to a 13-point lead which they also held at the break at 46-33. DePauw hit 67 percent of its field goal tries in the opening 20 minutes and Millsaps made 65 percent of its attempts.

A 9-1 run early in the second half by the Tigers pushed the lead to 59-38 with 12:07 remaining. The lead reached 22 at 62-40 before Millsaps scored five straight to cut the margin to 17. DePauw put the game away by scoring six straight as Amy Argetsinger and Katie Imborek scored on layups and Argetsinger added two free throws.

Jill Schneider paced the Tigers with a season-high 13 points and hit six-of-seven from the floor. Imborek added 11 and Argetsinger scored 10 in the win. In all, 12 of the 15 Tigers who played reached the scorebook.

Jessica Dunlap led Millsaps with 15, while Jillian Compton scored 12 and Cece Turner dropped in 11.

DePauw shot a season-best 57.7 percent from the field and outrebounded the Majors, 30-23.

The Tigers host Oglethorpe (4-6, 0-4 SCAC) on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Stormy Petrels lost at Rose-Hulman on Friday by a 70-53 score.
