Mike Howland ready to dish out one of his DePauw and SCAC single-game record 15 assists. 
Greencastle, Ind. - The Tigers rolled to their 15th win in 17 games and stayed in first by two games in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 78-67 win over visiting Rhodes.
DePauw (15-2, 10-1 SCAC) took an 11-point first half lead over the Lynx (6-11, 3-8 SCAC) after a 10-0 run midway through the half. That lead reached as many as 12 points before the teams went to the break with DePauw leading 36-28.
Rhodes closed the gap to three at 43-40 in the first four minutes of the second half, but the Tigers scored 13 straight at the start of a 22-2 run that pushed the lead to 65-42 with 9:51 left.
The Lynx then went on a 17-4 run over a five-minute stretch to close the gap to 69-59 with just under four minutes to play. DePauw held on as the margin never reached single-digits the rest of the way.
Joe Ringger's first half dunk accounted for two of his career-high 27 points.
Joe Ringger posted a career-high with 27 points while Jeremy Bettis added 17 and Jon Owens a season-high 12. Bettis grabbed eight rebounds, while Ringger and Todd Humerickhouse each hauled down seven.
Bryan Baird paced Rhodes with 21 points, while Stephen Russell added 18. Matthew Pate grabbed eight rebounds and Austin Lutz totaled six assists.
The Tigers travel to Millsaps for an 8 p.m. CST game on Friday, February 1.
Mike Howland dished out 15 assists to break both the DePauw and SCAC single-game records. Ted Rutan held the DePauw mark with 13 against Eureka on February 2, 1983.
The SCAC record was 14 set by Peter Jones of Sewanee on January 19, 1997, and Mike Wood of Trinity on November 23, 1996.
