San Antonio, Texas - In a showdown of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference unbeaten teams, the visiting Tigers took control in the second half after trailing most of the opening 20 minutes and earned a 70-61 victory over Trinity.

The win, DePauw's 12th straight, lifted their overall record to 13-2 and their SCAC mark to 8-0. Trinity fell to 9-5 overall and 6-1 in the SCAC.

Trinity held an early 6-2 lead before the Tigers went on an 11-2 run to take a 13-8 advantage six minutes into the contest. Katie Imborek began the string with a pair of jumpers before Amy Argetsinger followed with a three and Sarah MacKay added a basket.

The hosts then scored eight of the game's next nine points and went ahead 19-14. The Tigers battled back to tie the contest at 19-19, but Trinity extended its lead to as many as eight at 31-23 with 3:56 left.

DePauw then held Trinity to just one free throw the rest of the half, while scoring 12 themselves. Colleen Powers hit a free throw and Kim Weigle nailed a pair before Powers hit a jumper and Weigle added a basket and a three-pointer to cap the 12-0 run over a 2:42 stretch.

Trinity gained an early two-point lead in the second half, but DePauw scored 13 straight capped off with Tria Yoder's three-point play with 12:41 left that made it 51-40.

The host Tigers got to within three on two occasions with the last coming with 4:31 left on Tara Rhode's two free throws before DePauw put together an 8-0 run over a 3:22 stretch.

Argetsinger scored four, while Dana Ferguson and Imborek each scored two during the stretch that put the game away.

Argetsinger led the Tigers with 18 followed by Weigle with 12, MacKay with 11 and Ferguson with 10. Ferguson led the Tigers with nine reboudns as DePauw held a 37-32 advantage on the glass. Melissa Carl and Megan Selmon each scored 14 for Trinity.

DePauw closes the first half of SCAC play on Thursday when it hosts Rose-Hulman in a 6 p.m. clase.
