DePauw dominates Millsaps, 92-39

GREENCASTLE, IND. - The Tigers wasted little time in disposing of visiting Millsaps as they defeated the Majors 92-39 to remain in sole possession of first place in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

The Tigers, ranked 21st in the USA Today/WBCA poll and 24th by D3hoops.com, improved to 16-4 overall and 11-2 in the SCAC, while Millsaps fell to 4-14 overall and 2-11 in the conference.

Millsaps scored the first two points of the game on a pair of free throws, but DePauw scored the next 19 and 35 of the next 39 to take a 35-6 lead with 3:09 left in the half. They led at the break by a 41-10 count.

The margin reached a high of 57 points in the final minute. In all, 15 of the 18 players who saw action for DePauw scored in the contest.

Lindsey Rush led the Tigers with 14 points followed by Jill Schneider with 12 and Meredith Miles and Heather Wiles with 10 each. Miles and Schneider each grabbed eight rebounds as DePauw held a 44-21 advantage on the boards. 

Jessica Dunlap paced Millsaps with 16 points and seven rebounds. and Lakesha Perry added 11.

The Tigers travel to Trinity for a 6 p.m. game on Friday.
