Greencastle, Ind. - The Tigers completed a sweep in the opening weekend of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play with a 59-48 win over visiting Sewanee.
Amy Argetsinger paced the Tigers with 12 points and five rebounds, while Katie Imborek chipped in 10 points in the victory.
DePauw trailed only briefly in the opening minutes at 4-2, but scored the next 11 points to take a nine-point advantage that they wouldn't relinquish.
After leading 26-22 at the break, the Tigers built the margin to as many as 12 points in the second half. Sewanee got no closer than seven points over the final 15 minutes.
The Tigers committed just seven turnovers which equaled the fewest in school history which previously occurred in a 1996 game with Rose-Hulman and against Centre last year.
DePauw travels to Franklin for a 7 p.m. game on Thursday, December 6.
