Waverly, Iowa. - The Tigers hit nine of 10 free throws in the last two minutes of overtime and scored 11 of the game's final 13 points in an 82-76 overtime win at Wartburg. The win, the Tigers' sixth straight, lifted their record to 7-2, while the Knights fell to 5-4.

After entering overtime tied, 66-66, the Knights took a three-point lead at 74-71 with 3:03 left in overtime after Heather Johnson hit one of two free throws. The Tigers then scored the next seven points with a basket from Kim Weigle, three free throws from Amy Argetsinger and two from Katie Imborek to make it 78-74 with 1:32 left.

Jessica Mennen cut the lead to two with a basket at the 1:23 mark. The Knights had possession of the ball after a DePauw turnover with 46 seconds remaining and Mennen missed an opportunity to tie the game, but Sarah MacKay grabbed the rebound before being fouled. She hit two free throws with 23 seconds remaining to push the Tigers' lead to 80-76.

Argetsinger picked off a Wartburg pass with 14 seconds left and hit both free throws on the other end to make it 82-76.

DePauw fell behind by as many as 12 points in the first half at 30-18, but the Tigers put together a 12-0 run late in the first half and went to the break with a 39-37 advantage.

The Tigers built as much as an eight-point lead in the second half and still led 62-55 after Argetsinger's basket with 5:25 remaining in regulation. Wartburg battled back with seven straight points over the next two minutes to tie the score at 62-62 with 3:21 left.

MacKay hit a bucket with 3:04 left and two free throws with 1:35 remaining to give the Tigers a 66-62 lead. Holly Mohs nailed two free throws with 1:18 left and another two with 44 seconds left to tie the game at 66-66. After a DePauw turnover with 30 seconds left, the Knights' Katie Fox missed a three-pointer with nine seconds remaining.

MacKay grabbed the rebound and missed a three-pointer at the buzzer to force the extra session.

MacKay led the Tigers with 22, followed by Argetsinger with a career-best 20 and Tria Yoder's career-high 12. Mohs paced the Knights with 24, while Brianne Schoonover with 17 and Mennen with 15. MacKay grabbed a game-high eight rebounds and Schoonover had seven for Wartburg.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, December 29, when they travel to Hendrix.
