Greencastle, Ind. -  Washington University and DePauw University battle tomorrow for the DePauw Tipoff Tournament title as each advanced with wins tonight. The Bears, four-time defending NCAA Division III champions, are ranked second in the nation by D3hoops.com, while DePauw entered the season ranked 26th in the nation.

The Bears knocked off Illinois Wesleyan 87-64, while the Tigers topped Thomas More, 68-51. The Titans and Saints square off in the consolation game.

DePauw scored the game's first 12 points and never trailed on the way to their win over Thomas More. The Saints closed to within two on a couple of occasions in the first half, but the Tigers used a 9-0 run over the final 3:17 of the half to take a 37-22 halftime lead.

The Tigers kept the lead in double digits for the entire second half with a high of 22 points at two different points.

Katie Imborek equaled a career-high with 18 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the floor and Jill Schneider added a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Sarah MacKay dished out a team-high four assists, while Amy Argetsinger totaled three steals in her first collegiate game.

Holly Roberts paced Thomas More with 20 points. Bridget New grabbed a team-high nine rebounds followed by Roberts with eight.

The Tigers shot just under 51 percent for the game including 62 percent in the first half. Thomas More hit 39 percent of its field goal tries.

In a first half that included two ties and nine lead changes, the Bears went on a 27-11 run over the final 8:45 to take a 48-33 lead into halftime. Illinois Wesleyan got as close 12 at 68-56 midway through the second half, but Washington closed the contest with a 19-8 string to take the win.

Robin Lahargoue led five Bears in double figures with 17 points followed by Laura Crowley with 13. Hallie Hutchens came off the bench with 12, while Jennifer Rudis scored 11 and Meg Sullivan added 10. Sullivan hauled down nine rebounds and Rudis grabbed eight as the Bears held a 41-25 advantage on the boards. Lahargoue and Crowley each dished out four assists.

Brooke Bailey paced the Titans with 12 followed by Elisa Ettner with 11. Cindy Uphoff came off the bench to total five rebounds, while Ettner added four assists.

Washington shot 55 percent from the floor including nearly 59 percent in the second half, while Illinois Wesleyan hit just over 41 percent of its shots.
