Melynda Link joined the DePauw staff as assistant athletics director for athletics facilities and athletics events in May 2021. In her role, Link is responsible for maintaining the athletic facilities daily, including staging and hosting over 100 home athletic contests annually. This includes regular and postseason tournaments, as well as numerous special events, such as fundraising and alumni functions, department meetings, and campus activities. She also serves as the sport supervisor for Men's and Women's Tennis programs.

Career Highlights:

  • Currently serving a 4-year term as the chair of the Region V for the NCAA Men's Tennis Committee.
  • Participates in the 2024 NCAA Foundations of Fundraising cohort
  • Serves on various campus-wide committees for the Bold & Gold 2027 Strategic Plan, including Capacity Building Working Group: On-Campus Events and Activities and Exemplary Student Experience Programming Committee
  • Since Fall of 2022 she has served as a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Advisor
  • Came to DePauw from Haverford College where she was the director of athletic facilities and game day operations since 2018.
  • At Haverford, Link oversaw scheduling and facility needs for 23 varsity athletic teams and eight club sports across 13 venues. She also supervised over 200 events annually and managed a staff of 90 student workers.
  • During her final year at Haverford, Link served as a member of the Athletics ReturntoPlay committee to facilitate a transition back to campus post-COVID-19 for student-athletes and the campus as a whole.
  • Facilitates the NCAA DIII OneTeam program (LGBTQ+ inclusion) for athletic department coaches/staff at Division III colleges within the region as well as varsity athletic teams at Haverford.
  • Prior to Haverford, Link worked at La Salle University in Philadelphia as a graduate assistant for athletic facilities and operations and later as assistant manager of athletic facilities and operations. She hired, scheduled and supervised 40 student workers as event staff, lifeguards, arena attendants and front desk staff for various venues.
  • While at La Salle, Link earned a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in management.
  • An active member of the Women Leaders in College Sports and was awarded the organization's 2017 Foundation Fund Scholarship.
  • A 2016 graduate of Temple University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Sports & Recreation Management.
  • Served as head manager for Temple's women's basketball team.
